Destination

Certainly not

Certainly not
I’m certain
About the certainty of
My destiny
My life after this life
As I am to pass,
from one life to the other.

Certainly not
I’m certain
If I get a free pass to heaven
Or to perish eternally,
as part of my damnation.

Certainly not
I’m certain
Of what may happen
Today,
Tonight
Or at the end of
Uncertain tomorrow
Certainly not
I’m certain about
This and all.

Certainly not
I care very little
And bother them all
The world ends
When one dies
And the life
Does not begin elsewhere

Uncontained
It always begins afresh.

Uncertain
I am not.
Certainly
I am not
Uncertain
About my end
my destination.

My body lying on the table
and doctors to be
digging deep into it
To know the secrets of
Nature
I tell my face to wear
a smile for them.
